PRESIDENT WAYNE KITADE

The Asian Peace Officers Association was created in 1991 as a Valley Chapter of the Northern California Peace Officers Association. In 1993, the Valley Chapter created this independent entity as a non profit IRS § 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

As part of its mission, the APOA created a Martial Arts Academy for youth from local communities to make an impact on juvenile delinquency and violence.

Instructors are volunteers from local schools and law enforcement agencies. The APOA has established a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Sacramento.

The APOA hosts an annual fund raising banquet and silent auction to fund these activities.
